1. Made in China, a series by Lorena Turner. She uses her camera as if it were an archeologist’s tool, searching for proof of human signs on mass-produced items that are manufactured abroad and shipped to the US. Turner buys these mundane goods in US department stores, dusts them for fingerprints, and photographs the objects under black lights. This process allows the evidence of “someone’s touch” to emerge, possibly revealing the person involved in making and packaging the item.
